On behalf of the Madoc Agricultural Society, I would like to welcome everyone to the 113th annual Madoc Fall Fair. Our annual fair is always a special time for our community. Rarely do we have the chance to come together and take part in a tradition, which has helped shape and continues to strengthen our local culture. At the fair old friends gather and new friends meet. It’s a time for us to open our doors and showcase all that our town and community has to offer. Fall at the fair is not only a great opportunity to reflect upon times gone past but look forward to the future of agriculture and rural living. The Madoc Fall Fair has something for everyone and is a great place for the entire family to spend quality time together. We offer a wide variety of events and experiences including our Truck and Tractor Pull, agricultural education seminars, as well as numerous livestock and equestrian events.
As many of you know, this a tumultuous time for the livelihood of small town fairs. Due to changes in the way that Midway companies function, we have had to make changes to our operations in order to stay relevant. For the past 113 years the fair has made changes that has enabled it to survive longer that others while retaining traditions and respecting the historical significance of the event. We hope that our hard work and dedication will see the fair continue for many years to come.
Many people put in time and effort to ensure the success of the Madoc Fall Fair. I would like to express my personal gratitude to all the executives, directors, members, volunteers, exhibitors and sponsors for helping to organize this outstanding event. Without their direction, countless hours of volunteer work and
generous donations; this fair would not be what it is today. As the Madoc Agricultural Society moves forward, we are always looking to welcome new members and volunteers.
We look forward seeing you in September. Please come out and appreciate what the Madoc Fall Fair has to offer. Our members and volunteers have been working hard to make this fair one to remember.
I look forward to seeing you there.
